The primary aim of THDA is

· to advance the art of highland dancing, in particular in Tayside and its environs

Realisation of its aim:

· Organising regular Highland Dancing competitions in the Tayside area.

· Holding Highland Dancing workshops.

· Support in developing new styles within Scottish Dance, eg through its association with the CelticSpirit dance co.

· Encouragement of youngsters to participate and share skills and culture with others through its association with Tayside Folk Dance & Music.
